For the best completed work, whether published or not, dealing with issues in the field of bioethics.

Ten pieces of work were submitted for the research prize, worth €6,000, which this year was awarded to:

- Salvador Tarodo Soria, Doctor in Law and Philosophy from the University of the Basque Country for his work Freedom of conscience and the rights of health service users.
