The 2006 Awards Ceremony for prizes and grants given by the Foundation was in Barcelona last October, 10th.

Tribute to Josep Egozcue. The awards ceremony honored the late Josep Egozcue, former foundation vice president for 8 years. Victoria Camps, president of the foundation, Marcelo Palacios, president of the International Bioethics Society, Isabel Tejada, ex president of the Spanish Genetics Association and head of the laboratory Molecular Genetics at the Hospital Cruces de Baracaldo, Anna Veiga, director of the Cell Lines Bank of Barcelona and of the Dexeus Biology of the University Institute and Francesca Vidal, professor of Cellular Biology at the Automous University of Barcelona all participated in this tribute.
