UVic-UCC presents Chair of Bioethics

The event also provided a platform to publicize the university's new ethics code.

Núria Terribas, director of the Víctor Grífols i Lucas Foundation, presented the Grífols Foundation Chair of Bioethics on 19 October, at an event held at the Manresa campus of the University of Vic–Central University of Catalonia.

The UVic-UCC Chair of Bioethics, the first of its kind in Catalonia, is the fruit of an agreement between UVic-UCC and the Víctor Grífols i Lucas Foundation. The purpose of the chair is to promote an understanding of bioethics through teaching and research activities. As part of the event, the new ethics code of the UVic-UCC was presented. This document, to which all the different elements of the university community have contributed, is based on three values: individual commitment, shared impartiality, and scientific truth.
