On May 23, at 18:30 the Center of Research in Health Economics (CRES), in collaboration with the Foundation, will hold the conference: Lifestyles during times of crisis: what do we already know and what can we do? 
 
The conference will discuss the relationship between lifestyle and crisis.  The event will start will a conference by Beatriz González López-Valcárcel, professor of Quantitative Methods in Economics at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which will provide an overview of the relationship between lifestyles (diet, smoking etc.) and economic crisis. What information is available on this? Does economic crisis aggravate social inequalities?


Next, Vicente Ortún, professor of the Department of Business and Economy at the Pompeu Fabra University, will moderate a round table in which Pere Ibern, professor of the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics and lead Investigator of the CRES, will reflect upon how we make decisions relating to our health and what leads us to adopt unhealthy lifestyles. In addition, Guillem López-Casasnovas, professor of Economics at the Pompeu Fabra University, will discuss tax policy proposals, such as those on sugary drinks.
