En la primera conferencia habló de la evolución que ha sufrido la relación con el paciente a lo largo de la historia. En la segunda, se centró en las aportaciones pasadas y futuras de la ética clínica, un término que el mismo desarrolló para referirse a la ética aplicada a la práctica médica. Estas conferencias fueron enriquecidas con un debate con las aportaciones de varios profesionales.
