El poder transformador de la ética del cuidado. Explorando el no care en espacios y contextos de las prácticas de cuidado

In collaboration with the Minerva Collective, this publication focuses on how the principles and values of the ethics of care are put into practice in different contexts within the healthcare sector. The discussion centres on the complexity and multiple dimensions of care – which is collaborative, participatory, inclusive and transformative – and involves different people and disciplines in every setting in which it takes place.

To this end, we are delighted to have the participation of Pascale Molinier, who analyses, on the one hand, the ways in which ‘no care’ manifests itself (indifferent or depersonalised treatment, automation and routine in care tasks), as well as the fragmentation of care resulting from the delegation of tasks.

This book also presents the perspectives of various authors on warnings regarding good and bad care, the notion of ‘no care’ (absence, rejection, denial), economic aspects with an emphasis on the invisible wealth of care, and ‘slow ethics’. These are considerations aimed at understanding reality, so that we may commit ourselves and take action to achieve the best possible care.
