15. Consentimiento informado y diversidad cultural

El consentimiento informado establece el deber de una buena comunicación entre el médico y el paciente, con el objetivo de informarlo de su situación y asesorarlo en las decisiones que debe tomar. Si la comunicación ya tiene problemas en situaciones habituales, más aún en los casos que no hay un idioma común o en los que las mismas palabras tienen significados diferentes. El objetivo de este cuaderno es poner de manifiesto las particularidades del consentimiento informado en contextos multiculturales, contando con las aportaciones de investigadores, docentes y profesionales del ámbito sanitario.
