Ethics and Science Awards Winners
Celebrating the winning schools of the 12th Edition
On 16th March we announced the recipients of the 12th edition of the Ethics and Science Awards, at an event held at CosmoCaixa, with the candidates in attendance.
The event began with a presentation by Núria Terribas, who expressed gratitude for the high level of participation in this edition of the competition and the quality of the work presented. Next, Mariola Dinarès gave a talk titled “Train your algorithm: tactics for experiencing social media in a healthy way”, aimed at providing a critical and creative perspective on how we engage with the digital platforms we use on a daily basis.
Finally, the jury's verdict was announced, revealing the names of this edition's winning schools.
- The First Prize was awarded to the project “Is it utopian to imagine a world that is not dystopian?” by the Institut Vila de Gràcia school in Barcelona.
- The Second Prize went to “Let’s Remember” from the Escola Els Pins school in Castelldefels.
- The Third Prize was awarded to “Biomedical Challenges” from the Escola Virolai school in Barcelona.
- In addition, the jury awarded a Special Mention to “ARALAR Project: combating the risks of gambling through technological innovation” by the Salesianos school in Pamplona.
The winning schools were also given the opportunity to present their projects, and the event concluded with refreshments for all those in attendance.
