Talk

How will we feed ourselves?

Talk given by Marta Pujol on 17 June, at 6:30 pm

Since the dawn of agriculture, humanity has strived to produce more and better food. Food production is currently facing major challenges, including population growth, sustainability, and climate change. In this context, we will explore how Plant Genomics can provide tools to address these issues, ranging from conventional breeding to advanced gene-editing techniques such as CRISPR.

On Wednesday, 17 June, we will be joined by Marta Pujol, PhD in Biotechnology and researcher at IRTA-CRAG, to discuss the potential of these technologies and the challenges they present for the future of food production.
