Call for abstracts
Presentation submission rules
All interested participants are invited to submit abstracts of their research work, which will be reviewed by the Congress’s Scientific Committee.
1. The papers are to be delivered orally and must pertain to the thematic areas of the Congress. Applicants must indicate the thematic area when submitting their abstract.
These are as follows:
- Ethics committees, citizenship and deliberation
- Autonomy and vulnerable populations
- Humanisation of healthcare
- Citizen participation
2. Please send abstracts to the Fundació Grífols UVic-Ucc Bioethics Chair before 15 November 2024. A confirmation email will be sent to the contact address provided by the authors.
3. The Congress’s Scientific Committee will review the abstracts within 30 days. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to select a limited number of abstracts, depending on the total number of submissions and time constraints.
4. Submissions must be based on original work that has not been previously published in any national or international journals.
Presentation abstract format
(All abstracts should be submitted in the format indicated)
- Title: capitalized and bold.
- Thematic area: the research field the presentation pertains to.
- Authors: first name followed by surname (compound surnames should be joined by a hyphen); author names should be separated by a comma, do not include roles. The author(s) affiliations should be listed below in italics. Please include contact address and email.
- Content: The abstract should not exceed 350 words (without bibliography) and must include: Introduction, Methodology, Results/Conclusions and Bibliography.
- Support/backing: any funding or grants supporting the work must be acknowledged at the end of the abstract.
- Keywords: a maximum three (3) words.
- Abstract: Maximum 350 words.
Presenting accepted papers at the congress
1. Authors will be given seven (7) minutes to present their work. Time will be allotted for questions.
2. Oral presentations are limited to a maximum of six (6) slides.
3. Oral presentations should be delivered by the author identified as the lead author, unless a change has been communicated in advance.
4. The Fundació Grífols UVic-Ucc Bioethics Chair will inform the authors about the presentation session in which they will present their work.
