Victoria Camps, doctor honoris causa by the University of Huelva

The president of the Foundation was awarded the distinction on June 23.

Victoria Camps, Professor Emeritus of Moral and Political Philosophy at the UAB, and president of the Foundation, was invested Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Huelva along with archaeologist Manuel Bendala. Victoria Camps is the first woman to receive this distinction, which has now been awarded to a total of seventeen people.

In her speech, Professor Camps highlighted her bond with the University of Huelva through all of its work in defense of the value of the humanities and for its dedication to applied ethics in the fields of communication and education. The new doctor maintained that the value of the humanities and the phenomenon of communication and the technologies that make it possible, lie in a common point, which is that of the education or training of the individual.
