On 27 March, the Foundation took part in the 16th edition of Exporecerca Jove, where it organized a workshop titled, "Is it ethical to design people to order?". The workshop was led by Francisco Montero, laboratory supervisor and member of the clinical ethics committee at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital.
The Foundation also organized a bioethics prize for research projects presented as part of this event. The winner was Mireia Jaimot Pallejà of Arabell School (Lleida). Her project, "Umbilical cord blood stem cells: business or science" will be shortlisted for the 2014-15 Prize for senior high school students awarded by the Foundation each year.
