“Asking ourselves questions to learn about others: school, science and ethics”

February 27

On 27 February, psychologist, educator and journalist Jaume Funes will offer a lecture entitled “Hacerse preguntas y descubrir a los demás. Escuela, ciencia y ética” (Asking ourselves questions to learn about others: school, science and ethics) as part of the Ethics and Science Awards ceremony of the Fundación Víctor Grífols i Lucas.

According to Funes, it is at school where we discover the many windows onto the world. It is here where we learn that our curiosity can be recast as questions, and we come to understand that learning is a journey of discovery, of finding these answers. School is where scientific thought takes place. In this lecture, Funes will talk about how curious children and adolescents share their questions about the world and build common paths to obtain knowledge, learning that happiness always arises when shared with others.

At the end of this lecture the Ethics and Science Awards will be presented. The three winning projects will not be revealed until the day of the event.
