Ethics and Science Awards Ceremony

27 February

On 27 February, the Víctor Grífols i Lucas Foundation presented its Ethics and Science awards, designed to honour student-led educational projects that promote ethical engagement in science. The event included a visit to the Grífols Museum, followed by the presentation of trophies and schools showcasing their projects.

The first prize, worth 5,000 euros, was awarded to the Vapor del Fil school in Barcelona for its project entitled “Apocalipsi digital” (Digital Apocalypse), centred on strategies to help mitigate the dehumanizing effects of digitalization.

The second prize, worth 2,500 euros, was awarded to La Tordera school in Santa Maria de Palau Tordera, for its project entitled “El trueque azul” (The Blue Exchange), which addressed the social and environmental challenges associated to clothing consumption.

The third prize, worth 1,000 euros, went to La Parellada school in Santa Oliva for its project “Recuperación de la escarola perruqueta” (Recovery of Local Escarole). This project raised awareness about local biodiversity through the recovery of a native variant of the endive, which was in danger of disappearing.
