Ethical values in education

5 June at 6:30 p.m.

In this talk given by Francesc Torralba, we will learn about how educational actions can be used to convey ethical values and the challenges this process entails. Afterwards, the floor will be open to all attendees to participate in the discussion on the topic.

Education is more than just passing on information. Education brings about personal transformation, but this is impossible without conveying ethical values first. That is why we will focus on the role of teacher and pupil and the obstacles that may hinder the process.

At the same time, discussion will also touch on which ethical values are needed in an uncertain and accelerated world such as ours.

Francesc Torralba holds a PhD in philosophy and theology and currently serves as a professor at the Ramon Llull University. He directs the Ethos Chair of Ethics and the Ramon Llull Journal of Applied Ethics.
