Theatre and discussion of euthanasia, with performance of "Rita"

29 October

On 29 October we will collaborate with La Poecket to support the performance and post-show discussion of the play "Rita", which considers the ethical dilemmas around euthanasia in a family setting.

"Rita" is written and directed by Marta Buchaca and performed by David Bagés and Sara Espígul. This tragicomedy tells the story of two siblings – Toni and Julia – with very different personalities, who decide to have their dog, Rita, put down to spare her suffering. And then they find themselves asking the same question about their mother, who has suffered from Alzheimer's for some time. The clash of personalities will be a key ingredient as they approach this delicate decision, one that will give rise to intense ethical debate between the two siblings.
