Covid-19: individual freedom versus the common good

The COVID-19 health crisis has led to restrictions on individual rights in order to protect society as a whole and to ensure that the pandemic is managed as effectively as possible. During lockdown, the individual freedom of ordinary citizens has been subject to significant restrictions, and these will continue well into the future, raising the need to discuss key ethical issues. How should we balance individual freedom with the common good? What are the limits?
