During the month of February 2015, the Victor Grifols i Lucas Foundation was organizing a course for professionals on the Healthcare Ethics Committee (CEA) at Quirón Dexeus University Hospital with three objectives: to raise awareness on the importance of incorporating ethical reflection in the professional practice, to offer useful techniques when faced with a conflict of values and to provide training in solving practical cases.

The course, comprising four sessions (February 4, 11, 18 and 25) addressed the general notion of bioethics, with a particular emphasis on ethics applied in the professional practice, by discussing how to solve different practical cases.

The two people who delivered the classes were:

Ester Busquets, is professor of ethics at the University of Vic, associate at the Institut Borja de Bioètica, director of the magazine Bioètica & debat, member of the Ethics Commission at the Col·legi Oficial d'Infermeria de Barcelona and advisor to various ethics committees in Catalonia.

Núria Terribas is director of the Víctor Grífols i Lucas Foundation and member of various ethics committees at different healthcare institutions. She teaches on the Master in Bioethics at the Institut Borja de Bioètica and at the Blanquerna Faculty of Health Sciences. She is also member of the Bioethics Committee of Catalonia and the Bioethics Committee of Andorra.
